This list also only includes albums that I own, so albums that I have on my computer or intend to buy aren't included... YET (it would be way harder to compile the list). So bands missing include Self, Minus The Bear, Shiner, Glifted, MBV, Autolux and others. Once bought, they'll be submitted.

The first list was very hip-hop/trip-hop centric. One of these days I'll put a top 100 together, I don't feel like I've listened to enough to make one at this point.
Ok Computer is a solid album, no doubt. But among the very best of music in a whole ten year span??? I doubt that.
It's not bad at all for the first half, and then it recycles a bunch of classic rock unimaginatively from "Fittier Happier" onward. Realistically I can see it in a 80-100 spot, but top 30? I think that's stetching it.

Well, you could switch The Bends with Ok Computer on my list if that makes you feel better since OK Computer just barely made the top ten. I could go either way on those records, both great in my opinion.

What '90s guitar rock album is greater than OK Computer? It's subtle, melodically pleasing, inventive, and frustrating all at the same time. I can't tell if you're retreating to the old "Fitter Happier" complaint or if you mentioned it incidentally, but people who gripe about that track just completely miss the point of its inclusion. Brent DiCrescenzo in one of his less pointless pieces made the appropriate suggestion in relation to this album that removing "Turd on the Run" from Exile on Main Street would surely not make Exile on Main Street a five and a half star album. I don't know if this is what you're suggesting or not, but if it is, I'd like to remind you that "Fitter Happier" is a mood piece whose merit we cannot possibly judge using the same criteria demanded by the rest of the album.
That aside, I happen to think the second half of the album contains some of its true highlights: "Climbing up the Walls," "No Surprises" and "Lucky"--back to back to back, I remind you--are as evocative and formally stunning as anything on the record except for "Exit Music." I don't see how you can claim that songs so brave and difficult are "unimaginative" recyclings--they're simply not.
At some point I will be bored enough. And you know what, OK Computer will be my #1 (and I LOVE the Beatles, Dylan, etc.). I won't say it's the "best" album ever made, but it's my favorite, and I'd say easily the best album of my generation. Sorry about the aneurysm, Sancho...
I am by no means bashing Ok Computer or any of Radiohead's accomplishments. It's a good album, but dear God let's bring it back down to Earth.
And I wasn't in any way targeting "Fitter Happier" for anything. I mentioned it more as a line of demarcation between what I like in OK Computer and what I thought was rather humdrum. The first five songs are great and perfectly sequenced, but after "Fitter Happier", the songs take a downturn. Big time. "Climbing Up the Walls" is one of the most boring songs they ever wrote. I find "Lucky"s chorus to be quite irritating, and "The Tourist" goes nowhere. It's not a perfect album by any stretch of the imagination.
But this is also coming from a listener who dislikes The Bends, is lukewarm to Kid A and loves Amnesiac, and enjoys Hail to the Thief for the most part.
How predictable was this that it would evolve from a top 100 albums thread to a few people taking the time to post a top 100 and then be scrutinized by the masses?
