Today I picked up Dave Pajo's new solo album, "1968".

I'm one of those people who think his last, self-titled album was the best Elliott Smith album that Elliott Smith never made.

The new one by Primal Scream "Riot City Blues". Don't let the metacritic score fool you on this. It is a solid rock and roll album, no more no less. I always find it's best to judge the Scream's albums on their own. For most bands this is difficult, but nearly every Scream album sounds completely different. At least, in my opinion.
