Okkervil River - "The Stage Names" I've finally come around to this to the point that I want it in my collection. Great album.

Dosh was playing drums for Andrew Bird on this last tour. I bought Wolves and Wishes at the merchandise table, but the lady accidentally sold me The Lost Take at the same time (I thought I was buying something else). I was pleased with both of them though. It's really good looped instrumental work, off Anticon. Sortof runs the border between electronica, jazz and instrumental Hip Hop with contributions from Bonnie "Prince" Billy and Andrew Bird. Dosh.

I visited Kim's in the East Village in NYC and bought Root Manuva's Awfully Deep. It's a really great record, and it's helping me get through the rap drought of '08.
