Aman Iman - Tinariwen
Carbon Glacier - Laura Veirs
Memory Man - Aqualung
Garden Of Happiness - Grandadbob

All for the very reasonable sum of £11. It would have cost me more than that just for the carrier bag in HMV. Probably.

Holy shit. Some of the best stuff ever recorded on those four.

I had a stick of CareFree gum, but it didn't work. I felt pretty good while I was blowing that bubble, but as soon as the gum lost its flavor I was back to pondering my mortality.

I concur. Recently, I bought:

Beth Orton - Trailer Park
Sade - Love Deluxe
Belle and Sebastian - The Boy With the Arab Strap

I guess I've been getting in touch with my feminine side lately, but if that's wrong, I don't want to be right.

Anybody thinking of purchasing (or already purchased) the new Martina Topley-Bird album? Quixotic (the U.K. version) was one of my favorites of the year it was released.

Bob Dylan - The Bootleg Series Vol. 1-3
Velvet Underground - White Light/White Heat
My Morning Jacket - It Still Moves

Here in Tucson, we have a used book/movie/CD/video game store called Bookmans. It's amazing how much GOOD STUFF people turn in (see above). And their prices can't be beat - that Bob Dylan 3 Disc set was fifteen dollars and it's in excellent condition.

Sheesh, you'd think I work there or something...

Zia's is good, though they're making more space for DVDs, games and such, and less for albums Frowner

There's two Bookmans locations that are relatively near the center of town - one on Grant and Campbell (which I've noticed has higher prices than the other one...) and one on Speedway and Wilmot. The Speedway and Wilmot location is the best one, IMO, because they get the most traffic.

And just so this post isn't completely off topic, I just bought Sonic Youth's "A Thousand Leaves" last night.
