Nice. Do you listen to much Pedro the Lion? I find David Bazan to be one of the more underappreciated artists in the independant music scene.

yeah i listen to him quite a bit. Saw him once in concert for the Achilles Heel tour two years ago i think. Kinda bummed that Pedro broke up. The self-titled EP he put out last year(?) was alright. Really looking forward to see what his next album'll sound like. but you're right, Bazan definitely doesn't get enough props

Julie Fowlis Mar a Tha Mo Chridhe
Scottish Gaelic folk singer. This is her '06 album. Her '07 release, Cuilidh, was absolutely brilliant, and it made my top 10 of last year.

Bought from HMV a few days ago:

Fizheuer Zieheuer, Ricardo Villalobos
Robyn, Robyn
It's a Feedelity Affair, Lindstrøm
Third, Portishead

Going to pick up today at 1PM from the post office:

Distant Plastic Trees, The Magnetic Fields
The Wayward Bus, The Magnetic Fields
10,000 HZ Legend, Air
Dune, Klaus Schulze
O True Believers, James Blackshaw
A Place To Bury Strangers, A Place To Bury Strangers
Kontpab, Mahjongg

Wow, I need to cut down. But they're all cheap (except for the Villalobos and Lindstrøm at HMV).

I was in New York this weekend for a little vacation. Long story short, $10.00 sale at the Virgin Megastore in Union Square. The sale netted me:

Vampire Weekend - Vampire Weekend
Sung Tongs - Animal Collective
Deep Cuts - The Knife
Alright, Still - Lily Allen
Untrue - Burial
Made In The Dark - Hot Chip
DJ Kicks - Hot Chip
The Cold Vein - Cannibal Ox
Music Has The Right To Children - Boards of Canada
Louden Up Now - !!!
Horn of Plenty - Grizzly Bear

A good haul, I think. Big Grin

Yeah boy. The Cold Vein is in my top ten hip-hop albums all time and I could probably say the same for Music Has the Right to Children in the electronic genre.
