I got Fennesz' Venice for Valentine's Day from my fiancee! Yay! Does the fact that music is the way to my heart make me a dork? Probably. Whatever.

By taking my time and enjoying each listen and re-listen. Yeah I get behind on re-listens but there's no rush and the great joy lies in the re-listens of the tough-to-crack albums and the rediscoveries of albums not heard in awhile.

Two new additions:

V/A Surfing the Snow
(A comp of Russian surf/hot rod bands)

Wicked Lady The Axeman Cometh
(Rare reissue of '72 prog/hard rock album)

Few used ones from the local head shop:

Neil Young - Rust Never Sleeps
Neil Young - Freedom
Husker Du - Zen Arcade (thought this was kinda weird to find there, but I was happy regardless)

I had a stick of CareFree gum, but it didn't work. I felt pretty good while I was blowing that bubble, but as soon as the gum lost its flavor I was back to pondering my mortality.

Looking forward to picking this up (next week). I dreamt about the album Tuesday night. That's usually a good omen for a great cd. *knock on wood*
