I don't listen nor buy much rock 'n roll any more, but I picked up Rickie Lee Jones' "The Sermon on Esposition Boulevard." Believe it or not these are Christian tunes.

CDs I've gotten between Christmas and now:

The Black Parade - My Chemical Romance
Liberation Transmission - Lostprophets
Louder Now/Partone - Taking Back Sunday
Light Grenades - Incubus
Sam's Town - The Killers

Anyone still reading? Here's what I think of them. None completely blew me away. Still, five decent albums if you like those bands.

MCR stays just as good if not better than their last album, Incubus goes up a notch after the slightly disappointing "Crow Left of the Murder," TBS has a good one, the Prophets stay consistent and show a lot of growth considering it's only their third release, and "Sam's Town" is good music with some humor added in.

Taking Back Sunday's CD has the track list split into three lists labeled Side A, Side B, and Side C. lol.

What I consider one of the largest holes in my personal music collection is Elliot Smith. I own nothing of his and have always wanted to jump into his catalog. One day, I'm sure I will. Let us know what you think of these.

i already know those two albums by heart since i've had them in mp3 format for years. i just never found them at a reasonable enough price to get them until now.
But like you said, these two are epitome Elliott Smith and are a must for any music collection.
I could change my signature to "Go home and listen to them! Now!" Wink

Arcade Fire's Neon Bible.

I got the special edition for only $12 at Best Buy. I strongly recommned that if you like special editions you should get it since it is on sale until Saturday at Best Buy. Or you can buy the regular version for only $8 at Circuit City (regular version is $10 at Best Buy.)
