There are two bonus tracks and different cover artwork over the original. So wait, are you coming at the reissue from the point of view of never having listened to Fennesz? I was under the impression that people compared Tim Hecker to Fennesz and NOT the other way around since Fennesz has been doing his thing far longer and
Endless Summer is generally considered the "benchmark" in the genre. I though the question of how it sounds was more directed at the difference between the original version and the new version since the newer one supposedly was newly mixed by Fennesz to have a slightly different and more "open" sound than the version originally released in 2001. Personally I count it among the top five or so records of this decade.
