Gotta love both of those Kubrick movie soundtracks, especially Clockwork Orange. So strange, but unmistakable.

One of my best friends says that "A Clockwork Orange" has the greatest soundtrack of all time; when I asked my wife Brenda to guess his favorite, she named it on the spot. I ordered through Barnes and Noble, but haven't received yet the new Secret Machines and last year's (not this year's live album, from Holly Golightly.) I'm hopin', Mania, that these are keepers.

I picked up William Basinski's Disintegration Loops I-IV through a long-ago placed online order, and also Tim Hecker's Radio Amor. I also swung by the store and picked up Beaches and Canyons by the Black Dice.

Best wishes,

I picked up used copies of "Chutes Too Narrow" by the Shins, the self-titled record by Dios, and "The One That Brought You" by Grand Champeen.

I also got the 2 disc reissue of the Waterboys "This is the Sea" and ordered the new Velvet Crush and Tommy Keene records.

One of the most staggeringly amazing things in the history of music, IMHO. Sorry for the hyperbole, but it's not particularly hyperbolic in this case, not to me. Listen to them, right away.

Best wishes,

Yesterday, I bought:

The Corrs - Borrowed Heaven. Excellent album from them as always!

The Rembrandts - LP (Also excellent - there's a lot more to love than just the Friends theme song.)

When I get enough money, I want to get the PJ Harvey album.

I just picked up the A.C. Newman and Jay Farrar (free promos from old record label pals...YEAH!), the authorized Tindersticks bootleg "Coliseu des Recreios de Lisboa" (weak dollars against the UK pound...BOO!), and the Hederos and Hellberg covers record (full list price with trade credit...that's a split).
