I have "3rd Planet" and "Gravity Rides Everything" by Modest Mouse. "Slow Hands" by Interpol, and "Lover's Spit" by Broken Social Scene as my ringtones. I think I'd feel embarassed as a guy to have "1234" by Feist, or anything off of her new album. Any woman singing anything for that matter.

My phone is constantly on Vibrate. because I hate ringtones. But my brother in law thought he would surprise me and put Boy in Static's "Newborn" on my phone, so now it will play when my phone is plugged in and on loud mode. It's actually a really good ringtone. it sortof starts soft and builds gently. It's also a really good song, if you haven't ever heard it before.

I probably wouldn't have Sir-Mix-A-lot's Baby Got Back as my ringtone. Probably.
Seriously, though, I don't like musical ringtones. I only like bell-like ones.

I can't get any good ringtones because my phone is so shitty. I currently have Bjork "Earth Intruders" even though I don't really like the song. If I could have any song as my ringtone I would have Peter and the Wolf's "Safe Travels", just an awesome song. I would avoid classic rock songs because they are just so played-out.

I always thought it would be cool to have Frank Sinatra singing ring-ring-ring every time my phone rang. So I did some research.
Turns out, old blue eyes recorded a number called "Ring-a-Ding-Ding", but obviously, it wouldn't be offered as a downloadable ring tone from my service provider. I managed to find the LP in the record collection of my university, so I recorded it on my phone and made the recording my ring tone. Every time someone calls, I feel like tipping my hat and grabbing the nearest dame for a quick swing dance.
The lyrics are almost perfect. "And the bell goes ring-a-ding-ding, ring-a-ding-ding!" Classy as hell.

i currently have "let's dance" (david bowie) as my ringtone, about the first 30 seconds. i'd be embarrassed to have soulja boy, because that would make me a terrible, terrible person.

"Let's Dance" would be an awesome ringtone. I had a very MIDI-fied version of "The Final Countdown" as my ringtone for a while. On my new phone I have the Flaming Lips' "Race for the Prize," which I got from the cell phone company for a dollar. Of course, it's the chorus and not the awesome opening strings... stupid cell phone company.

The reason i don't have one is because i haven't found on worth paying for and i haven't found any for free. I can't think of a song intro I wouldn't get tired of though.

If you like a song, why ever would you choose to have it constantly playing back for several second intervals through one of the lowest fidelity devices imaginable? (I'm sure it has something to do with being a personal identifier, like a tatoo or body piercing, still I think it's moronic, and slightly obnoxious)
