Alright, I usually like these lists a little more than the "what's your favorite bands ever?" lists since everyone just lists the obligatory classics and it leaves very little room for interesting choices. Plus, we have enough nostalgia in this culture right now, let's focus on the present (or the near present anyways) and the future. While I understand why people put The Pixies on their list, however, I wouldn't classify them as an "active" band even though they're playing live again, considering ya know, they haven't released a new album in well over a decade. It's the same reason David Bowie doesn't/shouldn't count
