Bob Dylan, I just can't stand listening to his off-key voice.
I know I am the worst blasphemer of all time.
That and the Boredoms.

I've tried to listen to both of their albums but each time its sounds like its trying too hard to be indie, not different. I have such a wide taste in music, and people I trust like them but, nope, dont work for this cat.
You're not in the minority.

Boo! Whenever I hear that I can't say anything but that they'll get used to it.

I own Second Edition, and I really do not see what all the fuss is. It all sounds like bad improvisational dance from people who cannot play their instruments at all. It makes me feel sick to my stomache listening to the music. There is a few good basslines and the completely noisey and boring.

Radiohead. I NEVER understood any part of their appeal - either they're making boring, self-loathing pop-ish tunes ("Pablo Honey"), or they're just letting Thom Yorke moan over what is essentially a whole wall of white noise (everything else).
Massive Attack. Boring, boring, boring.
Blink-182. I'll put aside my white-hot loathing of this puerile, unapologetically-derivative shithole of a band for one second, and just say that I don't understand the appeal of dumb hooks, dumber lyrics and a screechy frontman.
Green Day - They're catchy.... uhm.... they've got a halfway decent bassist... other than that, shite.

i dont think there is anything to get about blick 182. I am pretty sure all of their fans are teenaged girls.

I don't understand how anyone can enjoy Death Cab for Cutie.

Death Cab was one of the first bands I really got into. I don't like them quite as much as I used to, but I still like a lot of their stuff.

I don't get Animal Collective. Believe me, I've tried to get into them. I don't think their songs are good or that interesting. I think they just get a lot of credit for being weird. But for what they are, I'm surprised at the amount of glowing reviews they get.

quote: Rolling Stones - OK so I got Exile On Main Street, supposedly one of their best. Thought it was really uninteresting pub-rock
Oh man, you're missing out. To me Exile is the essence of rock and roll. How can you listen to "Rocks Off" and not claim the Stones as one of the greatest bands ever? I suggest you run through it about five times...the songs will really open up and it'll prove to be one of the most rewarding albums you've ever put effort into. As for my "don't gets": Slint - indie sensation, apparently. Bad singing, bad playing, bad lyrics. Uninteresting. Songs far too long for the amount of ideas they contain (which is far too few). Big Star - No matter how many times I listen to *any* of their songs, they never strike me as anything particularly special. It just sounds painfully normal and average. Sloppy, even. Bad sloppy. M83 - The most boring band/group/whatever to ever receive praise. "Run Into Flowers" was good, but they should have stopped there. All their songs essentially use the same overly simplistic chord structure. The beats are lame. Cheezy, shimmery keybs don't help. Their albums are the epitome of a period piece, and not even very entertaining ones. REM - I just really don't understand these guys.

I tihnk Slint is very good. I love Spiderland, and they put on one of the best live shows i ahve ever seen. I suppose i could see how you dont like them though.
