Hi! My Contact nha khoa
In the spirit of the "Top 5 favorite CD's right now" thread, I thought it would be fun to see which songs are your favorites these days. Again, it can be an old tune you've just rediscovered or a new song that you can't get out of your head.
For the love of money - The O'Jays
New America - Bad Religion
California - Phantom Planet
Yeah - Usher
Sic Transit Gloria (Glory fades) - Brand New

"Radio Cure" - Wilco (fits my current mood)
"Gymnopedie No. 1" - Eric Satie (ditto)
"Brackett, WI" - Bon Iver (gorgeously beautiful)
"Lucky" - Radiohead (finally realized how effing brilliant this song is)
"Got To Get You Into My Life" - The Beatles (still one of my absolute favorite tunes ever)

The Wolves (Act I and II) - Bon Iver
The climax of this song is utterly stunning. The off beat drums, the vocoder voice versus the normal one. Such a great moment.

Plus Ones - Okkervil River
I think this is secretly the best song on The Stage Names. I've been revisiting this album and really digging it.

Rollin' (Diplo Remix) - Paper Route Gangstaz
This track is the ultimate stupid rap song. Jackie Chain's hillbilly drawl is awesome sounding, and the beat is fucking killer.

The Vacation From Ourselves - Wale
The Seinfeld sample at the start fits the song perfectly. This is also in my opinion the best standout moment on Wale's excellent "Mixtape About Nothing" which is chock full of standout moments.

My Girls - Animal Collective
If by chance you're reading this thread around the end of 2009, go to the "Best songs of 2009" thread and read through everyone's thoughts on this song. Just one of those perfect songs that comes around every few years and knocks people on their asses.

These have been grabbing me the last few days:
The Libertines - Music When The Lights Go Out (I woke up this morning with this one in my head)
Vampire Weekend - The Kids Don't Stand a Chance (Poppy & playful, but such a menacing portrayal of the mundane powers that runs the planet.)
The Roots - Rising Down (Man, yet another great album from these guys last year.)
The Veils - Jesus for the Jugular (Nux Vomica didn't get its props.)
The Bug ft. Warrior Queen - Insane (This whole album still getting better w/every play.)

There are times when we could be the same person. I would have picked a different Sufjan and Interpol, but the bands would have been the same. And the others are pretty dead on.

...and five random tunes that have been in my head:
"Mansard Roof" - Vampire Weekend
"Needles in my Eye" - The Beta Band
"Soon Enough" - The Constantines
"The Purple Bottle" - Animal Collective
"Radio, Radio" - Elvis Costello

While I respect people's desire to listen to music that pleases them... I dare say you might be in the wrong place, friend.

Believe me, I've thought the same thing a couple of times before as well.

After all, it was you that recommended what is right now my favourite song, "Upwards Over the Mountain." (It's one of those songs that every time I play it, I have to stop everything I'm doing and just listen. So beautiful.) Same goes with the anticipation for DM Stith's Heavy Ghost, etc, etc.
