Which is more likely: that "women" are categorically "out of touch" with the "universe," or that a small number of men who spend great amounts of time posting on an Internet music forum are out of touch with women?

That's a tough one.

This thread is fairly entertaining to me, since I am part of the extremely rare female minority here at Metacritic. Smiler

I love reading this discussion board and I love finding and listening to new music, as well as making a year-end list. But then I've always been an unusual girl. I don't tend to love the more avant-garde music, and I still love some mainstream music, but I love many of the bands that get mentioned here over and over. (You guys just haven't met the right women! Although I'll admit most of my friends have never heard of most of the music I listen to - but isn't that true for guys too?) So even if my taste in music isn't all that cool, it's not terrible, either. And hey, that's why I'm here - to find out about what I've been missing. Just remember, some of us can be converted to new and different music. Smiler

I had to force my girlfriend into getting on last.fm and now she's addicted.

I love it.

(Bring it on brothas, this one's even easier to make dirty than my last one! Yay! I miss being ten)

Part of the joy of going to concerts is seeing all the indie girls dressed up all hot-like.

Sounds like something from Family Guy that Stewy would say.

Well boys, your moms are so fat that if they sit down at the same time, everybody's MC posts get bumped all the way to the last page.

That joke is from the SNL Celebrity Jeopardy skit where Sean Connery tells it to Alex Trebek.
