I know there are some related threads there, but anyway ... Let's say you are leaving for a looooooong vacation and you are allowed to take with only one album per each year (2000-2007). What would your choice be?

There's my pick:

2000 - Kid A (Radiohead)
2001 - Is This It? (The Strokes)
2002 - Neon Golden (The Notwist)
2003 - The Elephant (The White Stripes)
2004 - Funeral (Arcade Fire)
2005 - Z (My Morning Jacket)
2006 - Ys (Joanna Newsom)
2007 - Boxer (The National)

2000- Eminem - Marshall Mathers LP
2001- The Shins - Oh Inverted World
2002- Rilo Kiley - Execution Of All Things
2003- The Stills - Logic Will Break Your Heart
2004- Arcade Fire - Funeral (torn between Of Montreal's Satanic Panic in the Attic)
2005- Wolf Parade - Apologies To the Queen Mary
2006- Arctic Monkeys - Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not (-06 feels like a weak year when looking back)
2007- Sunset Rubdown - Random Spirit Lover

I'll see if I can make a top ten for each year.
