So I was listening to Okkervil River's Black Sheep Boy, an album about a half-man, half-black sheep, when I came across Midlake's Van Occupanther album, which has a similar theme.
It got me to thinking: this would make a really good compilation. Indie songwriters writing about fictional half-human characters. I thought of a few more, but I'd like some input on others I forgot.
Okkervil River - Black Sheep Boy (From the album Black Sheep Boy)
Midlake - Van Occupanther (from the album, the Trials of Van Occupanther)
Tom Waits - Edward (from the song Poor Edward)
Buck 65 - The Centuar (from the song The Centaur)
Please get involved in this discussion so I can make a really sweet mixtape.

There are three Jed songs. There's "Jed the Humanoid" and "Jed's Other Poem:Beautiful Ground" from The Sophtware Slump and "Jeddy 3's Poem" from Signal To Snow Ratio.
You've also got to remember "Paranoid Android" by Radiohead.
