I dug up my copy of Funeral today. A lot of it hasn't aged well for an album that's only one-and-a-bit years old, but this song sounds better than ever to my ears. It's so Modest Mouse-esque that it could fit onto one of their albums quite smoothly and be just about the best song in their catalogue.

"Come Here" by Cass. First heard a song by this UK singer on a Word magazine cd sampler. It took awhile to track down her debut album on Universal Island but well worth it. Vocally reminds me of Shelby Lynne-meets-Annie Lennox, musically it's pop/soul with light dashes of funk mixed in.
