This remains a gorgeous electronic-classical trinket of 2008, at turns intense and relaxing, always laden with incredible production talent. Immensely rewarding.
Undoubtedly an odd choice for a late-night comfort album, but it is that to me despite the dark overtones of addiction lacing the music and lyrics. And it's also a pretty straight-out amazing modern rock album. Barely a track on it hasn't grown on me as an utterly fantastic song, most vastly enhanced by the deft playing and distinctive guitar tones of A Perfect Circle's lead thrasher.
A quite good 9-song album that was never released but is available for free download at Radical Face's site. This was a collaboration he did with a guy in 2003 which for some reason was never released. For those who don't know, this guy is also one half of Electric President.
"Change Your Tune" by Scott Murray. Power pop. A few tracks remind me of the best of early early '70s Elton John while other tracks bring to mind the Smithereens as sung by the Bo Deans. Good stuff.
