"Puirt Suid Mar Chaidh An Cal A Dholaidh/Nam Biodh Agam Gioball Bodaich/Gobha Bh'" by Julie Fowlis. This is from her '06 album, Mar a Tha Mo Chridhe. Her '07 release, Cuilidh was in my to 10 last year. Scottish Gaelic traditional folk, and Julie has one gorgeous set of pipes, -er vocal pipes I mean.
I've been listening to country music lately. It's a nice contrast to my metal obsession and mixes things up a bit.

Hey MSLBilly, welcome to the board and hope you stick around, especially as we have a Surf Instrumental thread that's awful lonely.
And The Tide Rushes In is the only MSL album I have. I hear there's another release but I haven't found it...yet. But the new cd is an excellent album, dude.
Medieval-sounding folk music. I always have mixed feelings about this kind of music. On the one hand, it always immediately appeals to me because I love the instruments used and the dark sound, but it almost always fails to sink in and connect in any kind of profound way. This is my first listen to this, so we'll see where it heads. Liking it so far.

"Come Around, My Dear" by Nic Dawson Kelly from What the Folk Vol.2. Excellent collection, found some new-to-me artists who I hope have some releases I can hunt down (ie Marcia Mello, Liefs, Nic Dawson Kelly, Attic, etc).
