The High School Musical soundtrack. Seriously.

I sense that I'm going to get stoned.

Cygnet Commitee by David Bowie. What an album Space Oddity was, probably my 2nd favorite of his, behind ZSATSFM.

Hope And Sorrow by Wax Tailor. Nicely done DJ Shadowesque grooves, but with a tighter sound and greater focus on hip hop rather than electronic music. Good stuff.

Movement In Still Life ~ BT

Nicely done groovy electronic music, though I'm only three tracks in. Even the turntable wizardry is digitally manipulated... Cool

"Freelance Fiend" - Leaf Hound, from the Heavy Nuggets CD that comes free with the December issue of MOJO.

I've seen this song referenced on a few message boards, but never heard it before today. It features all the hallmarks of early '70s heavy rock: thunderous bottom end, menacing guitar riff, trebly guitar solo, etc. Good stuff.

I typically find the covermount CDs pretty blah, but the hits to misses ratio on this one is surprisingly high. Doesn't quite live up to the soundtrack one from a few years ago, but the replay value's pretty good.

Rosamunde: "Entr'acte" by Franz Schubert (was this really supposed to be the finale to Symphony No. 8 "Unfinished"? I wonder...)

Ave Maria by Schubert (Dang, I am in a classical craze right now--which I haven't been in a very long time. But I am depressed, so it helps and this has to be arguably, the most beautiful piece of music ever written.) Sorry for that horrendous run-on.

Heh.

Erm.

Korn's new album? Yes, really. Not too bad when it goes for freaky rather than heavy, which is a little more than half the time so far. I... kinda like it?
