"Getting to Another Plane" by the Odawas from Raven and the White Night. A much, much better album than their previous release, The Aether Eater. Definite improvement in songwriting and vocals (not as buried). Many very nice psych/prog folk moments here, and hints of Neil Young/My Morning Jacket/Beach Boys throughout. Favorite song on the album is "The Circus Song".

The new Bright Eyes cd. Nothing's really standing out right now (I'm on track 8). I'm a little let down so far. Maybe it'll grow on me.

My basic objection to religion is not that it isn't true; I like plenty of things that aren't true. It's that religion grants its adherents malign, intoxicating and morally corrosive sensations. -Philip Pullman

"A Pillar Of Salt" - The Thermals

Still not bored of this song, or the album. It wasn't even in my top 20 of last year. Shame on me. Should have been top 3.
