"Pistol" by Black Belt from Two Minutes to Midnight. A new Swedish band doing the psych-tinged, hard rock sound. Singer sounds a little like Roger Daltrey.

The Mars Volta's Amputechture

These days I'm so slow, all of these thoughts and nowhere to go.
My aim it used to be so true, my world had a place in it, darling, just for you.

Ugh, I couldn't tough it out through this one. Actually I had to take it off in the middle of track two, and I like prog in general! I'm still scared to try listening to it again. I have a lot of patience, but The Mars Volta seems to burn through it pretty quickly.

Haha, yeah it isn't amazing and definitely not as spectacular as Frances the Mute, but I do like it. Especially "Asilos Magdalena," which just happens to be such a beautiful song. Give it another shot Dork, I don't think it is that bad.

By the way, here where I live, there is nothing that we are more proud of than The Mars Volta. Seeing as this is where they grew up and went to high school and everything. I am very proud of knowing that they made it big from a place where so much wasted talent habituates. Even Rolling Stone named Omar Rodriguez-Lopez one of the best guitarists of our time, and his picture is in the magazine! How cool is that?
