St. Elmo's Fire- Brian Eno: This is nothing short of awesome even if it may be considered a "pop" song...

Night Ripper by Girl Talk

and I Can Hear the Heart Beating As One by Yo La Tengo.

I put both of those albums on my playlist.

And I'm basically obsessed.

"Rainbow Flows" by Husky Rescue from the Country Falls album. Heard this album in-store last year when it first was released. It didn't appeal to me then but somehow it must have latched onto some crazed part of my mind as now I love this little gem.

"Which Way the Wind" by Stuart Staples off the latest Word Magazine cd. Really like this song and will most likely hunt down the album.

I've come to the Tindersticks only recently, c., thanks the m.leland's recommendations. I'm glad he did because I'm enjoying the Stuart Staples enormously.

Welcome back from vacation. I'm glad you're liking the Ali Farka Toure.

Now Playing? The Cards tied 1-1 with the Cubs in the Friendly Confines, but threatening with runners on base.

"What's The Altitude" by Cut Chemist featuring Hymnal. I'm not really a fan of turntablism or hip/hop, but Cut Chemist stuff is incredible!

I'm still on vacation, LT. One more week of freedom left. Smiler

"All Is Well" by Ollabelle off their debut s/t album. A bluesy, Americana/gospel album co-produced by T Bone Burnett. I love the vocals from main singer Fiona McBain, reminds me a little of the jazz rock vocal styles that Lydia Pense from Cold Blood excelled on. Nice covers of the Rolling Stones "I Am Waiting" and the traditional "John the Revelator".
