I feel like this thread already exists, but oh well. When one thinks of album titles, one must immediately think of Frank Zappa and his bands. Some of my favorites include, but are not limited to:

Bongo Fury
We're Only In It For The Money
Crusing With Ruben & The Jets
Weasels Ripped My Flesh
Jazz From Hell
Unmitigated Audacity
Quadiophiliac
Playground Psychotics
Chunga's Revenge

And of course...

Sheik Yerbouti

At a quick glance of my record collection:

The Decemberists - Castaways and Cutouts
Pavement - Slanted and Enchanted
Modest Mouse - This is a Long Drive For Someone With Nothing to Think About*
The Drones - Wait Long by the River and the Bodies of Your Enemies Will Float By
Public Enemy - It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back

Those last three were a pain to capitalise, though.

*An honourable mention also goes to Good News for People Who Love Bad News, although I don't own it.

Surely just about any Tom Waits title should get the nod:

The Black Rider
Nighthawks at the Diner
Rain Dogs
Swordfishtrombones
Blood Money
Closing Time

Etc, etc.

But I'm using my whole ass...

The Verve's A Storm In Heaven is good, and pretty much sums up the sound of the album.

So does Fear and Whiskey by Mekons.

I've always found ONoffON by Mission of Burma to be pretty clever in reference to the band's history.

Here is Australia popular pop balladeer John Farnham released an album called "The Voice". The album was the biggest Australian selling album ever - the title was pure marketing genius. Unfortunately the album was pure listening tedious.

For a decent album, album title I like Sly and the Family's Stone - "There's a Riot Goin On"

i think the best title will be " You're a Woman, I'm a Machine " by the m***********g great death from above 1979!

and the knowingly misspelled " mezmerize " by system of a down ain't bad either.

and "gravity won't get you high " by the grates

Along with the Yo La Tengo title, the competition for best title of 06 would have to include the following sublimely silly, insanely awesome titles:

Ta-Dah - Scissor Sisters
Death By Sexy - Eagles Of Death Metal
