Antics, though still a great album, is just a collection of B-Sides from Turn on the Bright Lights.

Hmm... methinks this is your opinion? Antics is such a step up from Turn on the Bright Lights that the idea of it being a B-side album is just laughable.

and methinks that saying that Antics is a step up from TOTBL is just as laughable. but that's just me

Mix a little folly with your plans: It is sweet to be silly at the right moment.

TOTBL, while great, is filled with parts (particularly towards the last half of the album) that make this humble critic want to fall asleep. Antics, though not perfect, contains no such parts.

Modest, what you are looking for is FRESH music. I mean be honest, you've probably heard it all, I mean in 4 years you have a great foundation and have heard tons of indie rock. But every once in a while a band comes out that sounds completely NEW and FRESH that no one has ever done. I am saying be careful because it is very possible to "overdose" on music; by the looks of you not listening to "Daydream Nation" for example, it's already showing signs. It happens to everyone. But sometimes it goes too far and people ditch music altogether. You have 2 options here: start listening to Rap and Electronic, and be more selective in Rock (me). Or you can just seek out what critics are ****riding because they always highly rate fresh material. For example:

Battles - Mirrored
TV on the Radio - Cookie Mountain
LCD Soundsystem - [self titled]
Go! Team - [self titled]
Primal Scream - Screamadelica

And if you've even run out of fresh indie to get into, you've either run into a dead end or need to start listening to rap and electronic - if you are open minded enough to allow yourself to do that, let me know and I'll give you a quick list will get you hooked. (on a side-note, always remember that there is nothing wrong with re-listening to CDs from your older collection. Try it out you will rediscover your love for them and give you a bigger picture of how your collection is turning out]

Check out Turn on the Bright Lights before you check out any of Interpol's stuff. Antics, though still a great album, is just a collection of B-Sides from Turn on the Bright Lights. And Our Love to Admire just wasn't that good in my opinion. I like to imagine that Interpol just picked up where Joy Division left off.

Wow you own a ton of modest mouse! I don't think I like Modest Mouse as much as you! But I do love them and I checked out the Ugly Casanova song Spilled Milk Factory and it was pretty good. It'll probably listen to the rest of the album some time when I have more time. Is "Sharpen Your Teeth" the only album they have? when did it come out?
