A cheesophone is also pretty much the same thing, except it's made out of cheese, usually sharp cheddar.

The reason I think most people know it is because it was featured in this flash movie on some youtube/newgrounds type sites a while back. Sorry I dont have a link but search "Bananaphone" if you wanna see it.
