Just curious. I see their name around a lot (maybe not just in this topic) and I've tried to listen to a couple of their cds and didn't do very well. Maybe I'm just ADD. I hope I'm not a snob for not liking Spoon...I'm sure they're nice guys.
Don't feel too bad Sicnarf. I don't like Spoon either and I've heard all of their albums. Everyone I work with seems to love them so I've had to sit through all of them plenty of times.
my mistake on crooked rain and mermaid avenue. i'll correct that. as far as avalanche vs. illinois, i genuinely believe it is a better album. 'dear mr. supercomuter', 'henney buggy band'', 'mistress witch of mcclure' and 'bobby got a shadfly caught in his hair', are in my opinion, better than anything on illinois.

Someone mentioned Bonnie Prince Billy's "I See A Darkness". I think it was actually released in 1999. If not, then it's in my Top 5.

To be honest I probably have listened to less 2000's music than any other decade, so my list is based off a very limited amount of albums.

...and I'm suppose to take this from someone who votes two Tea Party albums and a Dishwalla album in their 'greatest albums of this decade so far' list.
I don't normally, in fact I never do, slag others for their tastes in music but P-Bo, who seems more concerned about slagging other posters here more than anything else, sort of needs some dish(walla)'in back to.
