This happened 30 years ago. It was the first album I ever "flew". So, if I say that such-and-such is flown, that's NOT a complement!
Yeah, I remember that convo vaguely. To which I would cop something you said fairly recently about how it's not nice to mock people who are in love (and you've stuck by that so far, so I'm not going on the offensive ). btw, You mean 'flying' records is not a compliment, right? Also, if the record you flew was Chelsea Girl, then there's almost no conflict. It's pretty flew-able.

Funny you should mention this. I've been looking for this record for a week or two now and still haven't been able to obtain a copy. I heard some of it and The End and was far more impressed with what I heard of them than Chelsea Girl.
Yup. The Marble Index is the harshest, but it seems that there is perhaps too much John Cale on that one. I think Desertshore is more cohesive. It's too bad I can't soulseek anymore, or I'd get you a copy of it (I did also spring for a vinyl reissue too tho).

Wow, someone who actually likes Tim Buckley as much as I do. Probably the most underrated artist of all time. His album before Starsailor; Lorca is another great album worthy of high praise.
I bought Lorca as well as Musik von Harmonia yesterday. I listened to the first side of Harmonia last night - I'm super impressed! Buckley will follow soon after.

You know, "Help!" by the Beatles may not be their BEST, but it is one great song after another, from the beginning to the end. For an album full of neat pop songs, I'd say it approaches if not reaches perfection.
------ Aren't there any girls out their who like good music? I need to and want to meet them. My favorite bands are Overkill River, The Nife, Songs:Ohio, and Nuetral Milk Hotel. Please let me know if your into indy music and like to go to show's and drink beer's and makeout.

Just found it on there actually. I don't know why sometimes things come up on Soulseek right away and others it can take days or even weeks to hit on.
