Your list shows a lot of personality though, FKA. Certainly less predictable than my own, especially your selection of "Good Night." The Beatles is my favorite album of all time, let alone my favorite album by The Beatles. And ever since I heard "Good Night" the first time, it was extremely moving. It's the perfect ending to a perfect album: orchestral, directly honest and above all, musically gorgeous. For those that have the LOVE album and enjoy it, its segue between "Lucy in the Sky with the Diamonds," into the beginning beauty of "Octopus' Garden" is breathtaking. I got tears in my eyes the first time I heard that version. Anyways, yeah, I'd like to think my list is personal. The Beatles are the greatest, most important band of all time so there must be many different songs loved by many different kinds of people.

Totally agree regarding LOVE. I know for me, one of the most moving moments was hearing the guitar part for "Blackbird" segue seamlessly into "Yesterday." It was breathtaking the first time I heard it, and it remains so. As does most of that album, and I really love the segue into "Octopus' Garden." Absolutely gorgeous.

So, 5 from Yellow House; 3 from Veckatimest and 2 off the Friend E.P. No songs off Horn of Plenty. The top 2 off that would be "Don't Ask" and "Deep Sea Diver" and they'd be in the top 15 (with "Easier," "Shift (Alternate Version)" and "Ready, Able").
Good choices, however "Lullabye" would probably not make my list. "On a Neck, on a Spit" definitely would be up at the top though. ---------------------------- There's an ember in the rafters and it's gonna burn this whole thing down.

I like that you have "Alligator" so high, it's a deeply stunning song, while "Southern Point" may just be my favorite song off the new album. I would, however, need to have their cover of "He Hit Me" and Rossen's very personal "Deep Blue Sea" somewhere in there. quote: Originally posted by Mr. Squeezy: Sunset Rubdown:

I've never thought of ranking Sunset Rubdown's songs but judging by your "...maybe" it must have been pretty hard. Their songs are the kind of music that feels tightly wound in an album so the cohesive parts play a huge role in how successful their music is. But I like your #6 a lot; I would have "Apollo and the Buffalo and Anna Anna Anna Oh!," "Dragon's Lair" and "For the Pier (And Dead Shimmering)" somewhere in my top five.
