Picked up a used on yesterday at the town head shop:
Bauhaus - 1979 - 1983
I had a stick of CareFree gum, but it didn't work. I felt pretty good while I was blowing that bubble, but as soon as the gum lost its flavor I was back to pondering my mortality.
The last vinyl I bought was Darkness At The Edge Of Town, Born To Run, Zeppelin II and Parallel Lines, from a woman who was selling off all of her possessions and trying to get the hell out of town as quickly as possible. Before that, New Day Rising by Husker Du. My favourite vinyl buy thus far.
I am a lost soul/I shoot myself with rock n' roll/The hole I dig is bottomless/But nothing else can set me free/
Local record shop was sold out of Brian Wilson's new LP, That Lucky Old Sun. But they gave away a freebie gold vinyl single of the title track with two other songs off the album. Maybe the LP will be back in stock soon.
I went to this trader's market right by my house and I found George Harrison's All Things Must Pass. But I was ecstatic to see it was the original version, black and white cover with all three records. And the records are in near-perfect, like new condition.

I saw a copy of that at the Pitchfork fest this year. I considered buying it, but went with some other stuff instead.

I found a copy of "Sgt. Peppers..." (with the Sgt. Pepper cutouts and everything) for only 2 bucks. But since I already had a copy, My friend bought it (he doesn't have a record player, But he couldn't pass that up. )
___________________________ My evil twin has no voice. Just the sound of helicopters crashing.
I recently got a vinyl player (haven't had one since my brothers and I nagged a crappy old one from the 70's from the church we went to--I was little then). So I'm working on collecting again. Yesterday, I got:
Some vinyl with children's songs from Shakespeare's time (I think it's literally called Children's Songs from Shakespeare's Time... love random centuries-old European folk) Shriekback - Oil and Gold Music of Praetorius (or something like that--again, old, old European Music) David Bowie - Let's Dance The B-52's - Wild Planet
I've also recently purchased:
The B-52's - The B-52's Something else by Shriekback that I wasn't overly fond of (white cover, them jumping...) The Ramones - The Ramones Portishead - "The Rip" single Madonna - True Blue Bjork - "All Is Full of Crumb" (it's a weird British home-made-looking import with someone's e-mail on the label; it's, obviously, a remix of "All Is Full of Love", though I can't describe it as I've only listened to it once so far, and I was really drunk, so I don't want to pass unfair judgment.) Erasure - "Breath of Life" 12" single Music for two harpsichords by a couple of harpsichordists I can't remember Tom Pixton - Scarlatti Harpsichord Works (Or something like that--it's a bunch of Scarlatti sonatas, and this album is brilliant. Mr. Pixton's got amazing chops and his rhythmic precision is breathtaking, not to mention his ability to manipulate agogic stress, breathing human expression into an instrument that could otherwise sound extremely robotic and impersonal.)
Plus, several other records I don't want to rack my brain to remember right now... One thing I got a few months back (before I got my turntable) is Laurie Anderson's "O Superman" 12" with "Walk the Dog" on the b-side. That's an awesome single. I love "O Superman". I'm really excited to get Brian Wilson's new one, as SMiLE is one of my favourite albums of all time, and seeing him perform it live was like watching gods create worlds... well, perhaps not that amazing, but it touched my little heart to no end, regardless.
DJ Shadow - Endtroducing... Curtis Mayfield - Curtis Bunch of random jazz/house stuff from some guy's moving sale. Dude sold me like $100 worth of vinyl for $20. Nice pick up.

The White Stripes Rare A Sides/Rare B Sides, white colored vinyl. As the titles says, rare a & b sides, sometimes the complete single. A couple holiday tracks and songs that were only released with magazine giveaways.

Woohoo! I finally got a vinyl player so time to post here! I went to Goodwill and they had like, at least, 1000 vinyl albums all 50 cents there. But mostly greatest hits albums, Christmas albums, and.. Barbra Streisand. So I picked up: Mud Slide Slim and the Blue Horizon - James Taylor That's Why I'm Here - James Taylor The Christmas Song - Nat King Cole And then I picked up Mercy by Duffy at Princeton Record Exchange.
