Yesterday at Amoeba Records:

Piano Rags by Scott Joplin - Joshua Rifkin, piano
Rachmaninoff - Second Piano Concerto, Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini - Gary Graffman, Piano / Leonard Bernstein, New York Philharmonic (the concerto is one of my favourite pieces)
Dare - The Human League
Micro-Phonies - Cabaret Voltaire
The Cars - The Cars
Ladies of the Canyon - Joni Mitchell
(Untitled?) - Judy Garland (includes "Danny Boy", "Singin' in the Rain", and "The Trolley Song")
Liza with a "Z" - a concert for television - Liza Minnelli
The Sound of Music Original Soundtrack Recording (one of my favourite films)
Bartók: music for strings, percussion and celesta / Hindemith: Symphony - "Mathis der Maler" - Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Herbert Von Karajan (one of the greatest conductors; and Bartók may be the most fun composer to play on the piano--play his "Six Rumanian Folk Dances" and you'll know what I mean: pure bliss)
Close to You - The Carpenters

45s:
"Capitalism Stole My Virginity" single - The (International) Noise Conspiracy
"Lightning Strikes" single - Klaus Nomi
"Is This Love?" / "Blow Wind Blow" single - Alison Moyet
"The Lebanon" single - The Human League

Picked up a couple this weekend:

Art Blakey - Moanin'
Eric Dolphy - Out to Lunch

I like Moanin' a lot after a couple of listens. Not too sure yet about Out to Lunch though. Confused

Also will be picking up Dear Science today. Big Grin

I had a stick of CareFree gum, but it didn't work. I felt pretty good while I was blowing that bubble, but as soon as the gum lost its flavor I was back to pondering my mortality.

I was pretty annoyed about this on Tuesday because the shop didn't have it on LP yet! Luckily I went yesterday and they had one copy, which I quickly bought. Big Grin

Mine's due to be delivered next Wednesday, an extended wait for reasons of reduced postage costs.

Ryan Adams & the Cardinals Cardinology.

The LP has a different and much better cover art than the cd. The colored vinyl edition comes with a 7" single of two non-album songs, an illustrated lyric booklet and digital download code.
