That's a great attitude to have. BTW, I just noticed its only 10.05 on the forums. I'm assuming this is American times. In Ireland, its 18.05 at the moment. It took me a while to realise why I wasn't getting responces during the day

Honestly I no longer care about foul language in music. I consider it a slightly stupid way of expressing yourself but I don't hold it against artists. Sure, I may not enjoy a nu-metal band screaming "F**K YOU!" throughout their entire song, but I would be just as irritated if they were obnoxiously screaming "FUZZY BUNNIES!!!!". Right now I'm more concerned about good lyrics, whether they include potty-mouth words or not. Generally it is a sign that the words to the song are... maybe a bit dumb. A good example of this would be most of Nine Inch Nail's catalog; honestly, can anyone argue that the absurd lyrics of "Closer" are anything more than silly?
So, more power to you if you can say "Whoah, I Love that he just said f**k" -- but I really can't see how you got so hung up on swearing.
More and more, I prefer no words in music which is why I love surf instrumentals. But I also love soundtracks to porno films, so if they slip in some nasty come-ons under the heavy breathing, that's fine.
elliott smith is a perfect example of swearing adding to music. Its adds a realistic gritty feel to the song and also creates a interesting contrast between his beautiful voice/gorgeous melodies and his rough, introspective, and sometimes profane lyrics.

I will once again refer to system of a down. Their swearing is not meant to be funny or controversial. It stems from genuine emotions that can't be expressed in the widely acceptable spectrum of words. That being said, they use them carefully and normally in a valid context.
