So, Crob3888, what caused "Joke About Jamaica" to plummet from first to worst. It's one of Stay Positive's stronger tracks.

A little more about Wowee Zowee: Sans, I completely agree that the album is disordered and disjointed. This is nothing that proper sequencing and editing could not have solved. My point was that it could have been a classic and the best Pavement album had it been edited differently. A big part of an album's success is it's flow. I would rather listen to Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain as it is than Wowee Zowee as it is. My favorite Pavement songs are on Wowee Zowee however, and when the filler is eliminated and the tracks are shuffled around to create a fluid pace and style, then it surpasses CR,CR. When Wowee Zowee was first released, it took me quite awhile to get into it because the song order and some of the genre-hopping disoriented me. I have had fun over the years filtering and re-sequencing it in order to create a more cohesive album. I would challenge any fan of the band to do the same if you haven't already unearthed the classic Pavement album.

I would think myself there is a bit of a different story that happened with Joke About Jamaica - it only "plummeted" from first to last place because, after numerous listens to the album, all the other songs grew on me more. I still like the song just as much as the first time I heard it (live at the Fonda 11/7/07), I just don't like it as much as I like the rest of the album.

I rate all of the songs on my albums, and good albums usually have numerous 4 and 5 star songs, and Joke About Jamaica is still a 4 star for me.

On a different note, decided I wanted to give Bon Iver's For Emma, Forever Ago a shot, my favorite album this year, followed by my initial impressions of Dear Science, (I expect this oughta ruffle some feathers as well).

Bon Iver: For Emma, Forever Ago

1.) Flume
2.) Skinny Love
3.) Re: Stacks
4.) For Emma
5.) The Wolves Act I & II
6.) Blindsided
7.) Lump Sum
8.) Creature Fear
9.) Team

TV on the Radio: Dear Science,

1.) Lover's Day
2.) Shout Me Out
3.) Halfway Home
4.) Dancing Choose
5.) Red Dress
6.) Golden Age
7.) Family Tree
8.) Crying
9.) Love Dog
10.) Stork & Owl
11.) DLZ
