quote: Wilco - A ghost is born:
1. Hell is chrome - 10 2. Less than you think (yes, including the 13 minutes of distortion) - 10 3. At least that's what you said - 10 4. Wishful thinking - 9 5. Spiders (kidsmoke) - 9 6. The late greats - 9 7. Company in my back - 9 8. Muzzle of bees - 9 9. Theologians - 8 10.I'm a wheel - 8 11. Handshake drugs - 8 12. Hummingbird - 7
that was a severe ranking i made a couple of months ago. I think "theologians" could maybe get a 9, and "wishful thinking" a 10. It depends of my mood. But in it's entirety, when i listen the album from start to end, it sounds like all tracks are perfect (except Hummingbird) I'll do one of my fav records of this year: Heretic Pride by The Mountain Goats 1. Sax Rohmer #1 - 8 2. San Bernardino - 7 3. Heretic Pride - 8 4. Autoclave - 9 5. New Zion - 8 6. So desperate - 9 7. In the craters on the moon - 8 8. lovecraft in Brooklyn - 7 9. tianchi lake - 8 10. How to embrace a swamp creature - 10 11. Marduk T-Shirt men's room incident - 9 12. sept 15 1983 - 9 13. Michael Mayers resplendent - 9

Damn, a 5? "Climbing up the Walls" is one of the best tracks on that record. I'd put it right up there with your top five as the "great" tracks on it.
Ditto. one of the best on album

Yeah, Wowee Zowee has some really great moments on it. I wouldn't rank it up with Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain but it's certainly equal to Slanted and Enchanted.
I had a stick of CareFree gum, but it didn't work. I felt pretty good while I was blowing that bubble, but as soon as the gum lost its flavor I was back to pondering my mortality.

"Kennel District" is an awesome song. You consider that one of the worst?

It's O.K. The song doesn't really go anywhere and it has always felt out of place among all the crazy, dynamic stuff going on around it. I always wanted that record to be tighter.

I do think "Kennel District" is one of the best songs on the album. It's maybe out of place, but is anything really in place on the record?

I don't really like "Same Kooks" either. I do, however, think "Joke About Jamaica", "Stevie Nix" and "Most People Are DJs" are great songs that you've ranked too low.

Haha, I totally expected this to happen. I actually did it in order to see how many people would bother responding that they like it. It isn't a terrible song in my opinion, I just don't love it nearly as much as I love every other song off of BAGIA. It also pained me to not put bonus tracks on the albums (Arms & Hearts and Girls Like Status would both be high up on the list for that album alone). quote: I don't really like "Same Kooks" either. Joke About Jamaica used to be my favorite song on the album, and it still has my favorite lyric from Stay Positive ("We were kids in this crowd/Now we're dogs in this war"). I also realize that most HS fans hold Stevie Nix to a really high degree, much higher than I do. I guess I just never felt that same connection. On a completely different note, has anybody posted on this thread for Portishead's Third or The Bug's London Zoo? I'd like to see what other people think of the individual songs on those albums.
