That is hilarious. I love this record too, but this would be my numero uno.

By the way, everyone knows that the only and best album Wilco has done is Yankee Hotel Foxtrot. You need to get with it man.

That's pretty funny... to each his/her own. It's a good song, but for me, it's least essential because its hooks are least thrilling. This is fun... what next? I was listening to Beck's Mellow Gold this weekend, I'll try that. 1) Whiskeyclone, Hotel City 1997 2) Loser 3) Fuckin' With My Head (Mountain Dew Rock) 4) Truckdrivin' Neighbors Downstairs (Yellow Sweat) 5) Mutherfuker 6) Soul Suckin' Jerk 7) Pay No Mind (Snoozer) 8) Beercan 9) Nitemare Hippy Girl 10) Steal My Body Home 11) Blackhole 12) Sweet Sunshine (never liked this one)

Ok, enough with the stupid numbers on the side to rank the song from 1-10. Is that needed? It's confusing first of all, 2nd of all, if it's a record you like, why would you even care to rate a song a 5 or a 6? Just rank the songs from first (your favorite) to last (your least favorite). No one is gonna hurt the feelings of "Crown of Love" if it gets rated a 6.5 or is the ninth best song on your Funeral list. I'll do one of the most criminally underrated records of not only the 90's, but maybe, ever...REM's 1996 masterpiece, New Adventures in Hi-Fi. It was solely recorded, ON THE ROAD! during the Monster tour. 1. Electrolite 2. How the West Was Won and Where It Got Us 3. So Fast, So Numb 4. New Test Leper 5. E-Bow the Letter 6. Bittersweet Me 7. Leave 8. Undertow 9. The Wake Up Bomb 10. Low Desert 11. Be Mine 12. Binky the Doormat 13. Departure 14. Zither

Hmm...I don't know about that one, SS. "5-4=Unity" and "Gold Soundz" above "Cut Your Hair"? And "Filmore Jive" at the bottom? I would probably rank "Hit The Plane Down" as the worst. I never really liked Spiral Stairs' song contributions to Pavement that much. He's like the Ringo Starr to Malkmus' Lennon, McCartney, and Harrison.

I agree -- that's my favorite record of theirs. But I would move "E-Bow the Letter" to the top!

There's just something about "5-4=Unity" that I dig. It's a very nice addition to the record. It sort of acts as an intermission. Plus the guitar just sounds great in it. It's hard to discount "Cut Your Hair" in any way. See, that's the problem with this excercise. People go "you ranked that song in the middle?!?", but that doesn't mean I think the song is at all average. I in fact love "Cut Your Hair" but in comparison with the rest of Crooked Rain Crooked Rain, an album full of amazing songs, it's in the middle.

It is a difficult exercise, and one I commend you all for undertaking. Keep 'em coming.

I'm with you on "5-4 = Unity," it's one of my favorites as well. I heard that it was sort of an homage to Dave Brubeck so that gets extra points as well. OK Computer: 1. Airbag 2. Paranoid Android 3. Exit Music (For a Film) 4. No Surprises 5. Climbing Up the Walls 6. Karma Police 7. Let Down 8. Subterranean Homesick Alien 9. Fitter Happier 10. The Tourist 11. Lucky 12. Eletioneering
