Damn. Good catch. When this showed up on MeFi in the past week or so, I figured it was likely a hoax site, but the guerrilla marketing angle didn't occur to me and I'm usually on the lookout.

True dat. I make my first spam/street team run of the day around 5:30 or 6 each morning, so I figure nobody sees it except for our Australian contingent (sorry, Biggles). I usually have to delete at least one message every day and they're pretty easy to spot.
If this sort of viral marketing continues to be effective, though, the labels are going to wise up and put some time and effort into creating more realistic identities and building the trust of the membership of high-traffic sites (like this one).
Of course, you won't ever have to worry about that crap from
