The Cardigans, Knife, Love Is All, Radio Dept.(my guys), Peter Bjorn And John, Dungen(he'll have a new album soon), and I'm sure many more I don't know or don't remember right now.
Oh yeah, The Hives, I loved "Tyrannosaurus Hives".
For a country of 9M they do a lot for indie music. Hell, they do more then the hole of Europe(sans Uk of course).

Mix a little folly with your plans: It is sweet to be silly at the right moment.

I'm From Barcelona, The Concretes, The Wannadies, Jens Lekman, Soundtrack Of Our Lives.

Scandinavia in general is an extremely rich source of good music.

Reminds me of a great lyric on the new Of Montreal:

I spent the Winter on the verge of a total break-down while living in Norway
I felt the darkness of the black metal bands

Lets not forget ABBA

Hell, ABBA are so far beyond any other Scandinavian act in songwriting ability, that they may as well be from a separate land....Abbaland, or perhaps Swedeabba Smiler

Oh, could I feel as I have felt, or be what I have been,
Or weep as I could once have wept, o'er many a vanished scene;
As springs in deserts found seem sweet, all brackish though they be,
So, midst the withered waste of life, those tears would flow to me.

Don't forget The Ark.

And yeah, for a fairly small country they really do churn out a lot of great artists.

El Perro Del Mar, The Tiny, Tobias Froberg.

Just thought I'd add a few more that I've been listening to recently.

Sweden is the new Canada. Suddenly, all the indie darlings are hanging out up there in Scandinavia.

Span - Swedish turbo-rock band. Did one album and broke up, but the album is pretty good.

At least once a year, all I can listen to for a solid couple of weeks is the Hives. English would be pretty much the coolest possible language if everyone spoke it like Hives' lyrics.

Can I suggest four more? Well, I'm going to anyway.

Amandine - just about to release their second album on Fat Cat. Americana crossed with a little bit of Swedish folk.

Taxi, Taxi! - Teenage twin sisters, new signings to Efterklang's Rumraket label. www.myspace.com/taxitaximusic

The Bear Quartet - a cult band with a long and distinguished career. Someone put them on a mixtape for me in 2000.

Sahara Hotnights - My girlfriend (one of the few Swedes who isn't making awesome indie music, sadly) introduced me to them ages ago and I've always liked their records. Not sure what the upcoming fourth album will sound like, though.

I am absolutely in love with the music of Jens Lekman and the Shout Out Louds.

You Seem to be Suffering from delusions of adequacy.
