I've been spending the morning filing away all the stuff I bought in 2007-- I generally like to keep a 'new to me' section so that I don't lose track of anything. I thought I might post the stuff I bought on vinyl this year, since it really wasn't very much, which can be attributed to two factors. This was my first full year NOT working in a record store and moving all my stuff last summer from Knoxville to Chattanooga probably kept me from buying more
Dolorean - Violence in the Snowy Field (2004) and You Can't Win (2007)
Robyn Hitchcock - Ole! Tarantula (2006) [Best record of 2006 that I missed last year by the way.]
The Sadies - Tales of the Rat Fink Original Soundtrack (2006)
Beat Happening - Beat Happening EP (Can't find any info about this 3-song 12"; track listing - Side A: "Red Head Walking" Side B: "Revolution Com and Gone" and "Secret Picnic Time"; released on Sub Pop Records.)
Misunderstood - The Lost Acetates: 1965-1966 (2004)
Mink DeVille - Cabretta (1977) and Le Chat Bleu (1980)
Shellac - Excellent Italian Greyhound (2007) [I'll admit, I only listened to this once, so it did not register in my top picks for '07

)
Okkervil River - The Stage Names (2007)
Electrelane - No Shouts, No Calls (2007)
Shearwater - Palo Santo Expanded Edition 2XLP (2007)
Artful Dodger - Babes on Broadway (1977)
Daryl Hall & John Oates - No Goodbyes (1972) [When the hell are they going to reissue their Atlantic recordings on CD!!!)
Greg Kihn - Rockihnroll (1981) [These pre-"Jeopardy" Berserkley Records are in desperate need of reissuing as well.)
Utopia - Oops! Wrong Planet (1977) and Oblivion (1984)
Pete Townshend - Who Came First (1972) [Wow! I'll admit as big a Who fan as I have become over the last decade or so, I had never heard this STUNNING album, it was reissued on CD in Japan this year, so hopefully it will be available at a reasonable cost over here soon.)
The Associates - Perhaps (1985) [A band I had never heard of until this year. I think they came up a couple of times in the 80's thread. This is probably not the best one to start with, but not bad for two bucks.)
Paul Kelly and the Messengers - Gossip (1987) [Thanks for the Recommendation Little Limbless Ruby or whatever your handle is these days!)

"This is my main concern with Obama; what if he has been groomed since childhood to blend in with the zionists and infidels? What if he has been led along by a radical islamic terrorist organization and positioned to become an influential politician?
What if Obama gets into White House and turns out to be some crazy muslim terrorist? What do we do then? We'll be pretty screwed. It could happen." -- by some fucking nutjob
