It's slowed because they are no longer a band anymore.

Well, OK, but Jason Lytle wrote and produced all their songs, and he hasn't done anything. The last Grandaddy album was a Jason Lytle solo album according to everything I've read.

Andre 3000... with Outkast all but done now is the time for his solo work to grace us yearly.
I'll venture to say that Outkast was mostly made great by Andre 3000's sensibilities. Don't get me wrong, Big Boi is good, but I just don't see him putting out consistently great music without Andre 3000 at the helm.
And as The Love Below proves, Andre 3000 doesn't need Big Boi.

Great thread, and I like most of the choices so far. You guys are getting me excited for the future. . .
1. Boards of Canada: I know these guys have been quiet for some time, but they are (supposedly) recording AND a (supposed) box set of older material is on its way. BoC is one of (if not the) finest musical acts of all time (imo) and anything (even the slow drip of great remixes) from them is gold. 2. Menomena: They released my favourite album of '07, and with such an original sound, I can't wait to hear more from them. 3. Animal Collective: To echo what has already been said, these guys are on to something. . . 4. Circulatory System: Their s/t album is one of the more interesting records I've ever heard, and I want more. 5. Daft Punk: Tour. Just please tour again.
Honourable Mentions: Arcade Fire, Modest Mouse, Sufjan Stevens, the Avalanches.
