I would recommnend that everyone watch those films. Unfortunately, I've only seen 84 of them, but that gives more adds to my queue. Thanks for posting that link. I don't really care about the order. As far as I'm concerned, it's a 100- (or 84- for me) tie for first place.
P.S. I'm a little disappointed there were no My Father's Glory, The Shop on Main Street, The Two of Us, and Jesus of Montreal. Or did I miss those?

Not really familiar with those beyond what you've said with those... A lot of people have noted the enormous number of Criterion Collection titles, but I think that can simply be attributed to the accessibility of those titles.
However, I was quite surprised by the lack of more Herzog films... especially The Enigma of Kaspar Hauer and Fitzcarraldo. The lack of John Woo, as well.

this is a good list, as in it cites a lot of varied directors. i would add hou hsao hsien, satyajit ray, tsai ming liang and apichatong werathakul to it. but i think the list creator just wanted to get as many directors out there also i dont agree with some of the positions of the movies.
