Hello! I was wondering if anyone here watches Turkish movies, and how they are able to do so (if they live outside of Turkey).

To my knowledge, the only one I've seen is Head-On, which was utterly spectacular. I caught it one the two days it was showing at the local indie theater.

Agree with positive comments around Head-on, a superb film. Two other Turkish films would be Distant [84] and Climates [70], neither of which I have watched yet, but both of which I own...

I did not like Distant at all. Critics raved about it though. Since you own it, you minus well watch it! Wink

I highly recommend Head-On. it's one of my favorite alltime movies. and the soundtrack is amazing too.

ps: the director has a new movie coming out this year. it was presented at the Cannes festival this year and i think it'll be coming out in the fall in europe. If i remember correctly, he won the prize for best screenplay (but i'm not quite sure). anyway, greatly looking forward to it

Recently watched Hal Hartley's "Fay Grim" and was surprised to see the beautiful Sibel Kekilli, the star of "Head-On", in a bit part as a hotel receptionist.
