What the fuck? During the months they were doing this movie didn't anybody that took part in this take a step back and ask what the hell is going on here? Not necessarily bad, just a very confused movie and a big disappointment after the awesomeness of Dead Man's Chest.
I found the movie to be exciting and entertaining. After watching the second movie 5 times I finally understood all the plot points. I knew that the third movie would be super confusing plot wise, so I paid super close attention to it.

I think so! Strange that some found the last 2 confusing, I didn't. There are a few things that aren't all that great, but I had a good time. The battle at sea at the end of the movie was the best in the series! I'm just disappointed there weren't more ships involved. Why did they all show up if only the Black Pearl & the Flying Dutchman were going to be the only ones fighting? Awww, who cares! It was cool anyway!

Sure, I might offend a few of the blue-noses with my cocky stride and musky odor - oh, I'll never be the darling of the so-called 'City Fathers' who cluck their tongues, stroke their beards, and talk about what's to be done with this Monkey_Boy?!"

hmm i hate to disagree but I love this movie. I think Pirates of the Caribbean 3 answered all the questions in 1 and 2. By the way, have you seen the extra seen after the credits?
I saw this movie the other day, and I have to say it's one of the worst films I've ever seen. The story is completely incoherent and the action scenes are ridiculous.

I stopped after the first Pirates movie. I couldn't get over the fact that two dead pirates were sword fighting. Why the hell would two people who can't die be fighting? Seems like a waste of time.

There's a difference between logical and factual. Those of us ripping on the nonsensical plot realize its a fantasy movie, but the plot isn't logical in the sense that characters take actions and things happen for no apparent reason and without explanation.
Even in a film like Star Wars, that's not at all based in a world we know, the characters still follow a logical path.

My main gripe with the first one was its length. It felt a half hour too long. And since the 2nd and 3rd installments were longer, I figured I'd save my money.

Now that I can not argue with! Although I liked all 3, they really could have shaved some time and lesser scenes off. Especially 3...way too long.
Without Fantasy there is only Reality....and what is the fun in that.
