A forum where mods delete threads if they decide they don't like the people who made them.
Almost as cool as forums where if anyone's mentioned the topic you're speaking on, it's deemed redundant and closed.
Were these other threads made in order to throw around superlatives and stir up a little controversy? Obviously not.
Try to remember that it's never cool to be responsible for bullshit "no-nonsense" atmosphere in a discussion forum. This is a place for freaks and geeks. No one cares how highly you value the purity of your infinitesimal corner of the internet. I posted a thread about the Wrens, and it's closed, for what reason again? Because other people have made threads about the Wrens? Get the fuck out of here. Ever heard the phrase "That's fucking retarded"? I'm guessing you have.
I'm guessing that was some sort of in-thing meant to elicit lolz from the other 2000+ post count guys and make me feel left out. I didn't come here to make war on the giggly mods. My Wrens thread was perfectly valid, could generate relevant and interesting discussion and should be re-opened. That's what this follow-up was about.
Why not just put the rant in the other Wrens thread? Why make 5 different threads for one band? You can generate an interesting discussion in one of the threads that is already around, though I doubt the post you made will call for much discussion, as it was a bit ridiculous.
Also, you generally shouldn't come into forums, or anywhere really, acting like an asshole.
Your thread was closed because there are two Wrens threads already, that's it. Granted, yes, your post was pretty arrogant but you could have re-posted it in either of those threads. We don't need this tread either. If you have more issues to complain about, feel free to PM me, do not make another thread.
Feel free to read these, specifically number 2 and 3
quote:
2. Do not repeat things that have already been said. This means you are responsible for READING PREVIOUS POSTS before making a post yourself. Obviously, if there are hundreds of posts on a topic, you won't be required to read every one, but you should read a significant portion of them. Users who constantly repeat things that have already been said do not add anything of value to the discussions in our Forums.
3. Do not start a new thread if there already is one on your subject. Yes, this means you must scan the existing threads first to ensure that you are not duplicating one.
which pertain directly to your Wrens rant.

Well, based on your first two posts, you're not ranking high on my list of favorite people, but that's not why your thread was closed. If a thread is closed or deleted by a mod, you can rest assured we have some reason other than "not liking you". We're not children.
We actually have a whole list of forum policies you may want to read here. Rule 3 explicitly says:
quote:
3. Do not start a new thread if there already is one on your subject. Yes, this means you must scan the existing threads first to ensure that you are not duplicating one.
Also, you may want to refer to rule 1, which is "Be Courteous". I realize that means different things to different people, but if you want to come on this board just to be an asshole, you'll find that neither the members nor the mods have a real high tolerance for it.
