Why not? The Arctic Monkeys and The Shins are in this forum, and they're just as big as the other two. Let us not forget how slippery the term "indie" is.
------ Aren't there any girls out their who like good music? I need to and want to meet them. My favorite bands are Overkill River, The Nife, Songs:Ohio, and Nuetral Milk Hotel. Please let me know if your into indy music and like to go to show's and drink beer's and makeout.

Good point BContrat. Neither band are indie in any sense. For the record, Muse are an amazing live band. I suspect they jumped at the chance to blow MCR off the stage every night - good publicity.

Honestly, I would. As much as I love to hate Muse, I actually liked them for about three weeks a couple of years ago. I still don't mind a couple of their songs, meaning I wouldn't skip them (certain ones) if they were to come on my iPod while on shuffle. I just think they are way too serious about themselves. And pretentious while being entirely derivative. That's kind of a big "no-no" to me. If you are going to be bombastic and think so highly of yourself, you had better be an original act. They aren't. But hey, as long as it's making you money, Matt Bellamy, keep riding Thom Yorke's coattails.

Or just pull their heads out of their asses. Muse simply doesn't sound like radiohead, period. Yorke sounds like Bellamy and that's where the similarities end. I agree with whoever said that MCR has a bigger American fanbase and that's the reason Muse is playing with them. MCR, those wankers, aren't even worthy to haul Muse's equipement, but obviously they have a great manager who knows how to pull some strings. So, MCR can take notes while Muse plays and pray that someday they will have at least half the talent that bellamy has in his little toe. MCR, Simple plan, Say anything, Good Charlotte, Sum 41, all these pathetic boy bands are useless. And what's sad is the fact that people actually think these bands are good. It's like someone who thinks that Metallica still plays good music, just...misguided. But I digress, not everyone can be as wise as me.
