Joanna Newsom's ears aren't pointy...She still looks like an elf. I saw a great picture of her in a music mag (can't remember, one of the famous indie mags - had interviews with midlake, peter bjorn and john, yo la tengo, etc). Apparently she has a cool sense of style.

Anyway, a lot of this pictures in this thread are, um...women, yes. That much I understand. As far as good looking...not so much.

Jenny Lewis, Liz Phair, and Chan Marshall are attractive.

I don't really think Jenny Lewis is all that fantastic, though. I find her facial features terribly unattractive.

We might as well just all admit it - while there might be a few decent looking female members of bands, for the most part it's just not the realm of attractive ones.

Maybe you just have some different standards, different tastes. Most of the pics posted are pretty attractive to me. Although Liz Phair is not one of them -- I see better-looking girls on my drive to work, through the area university campus, every single day.

I think the infamous "I want to be your blowjob queen" line from Exile in Guyville's "Flower" may add to Liz Phair's sex appeal. Even so, I think she's attractive. Maybe she's too old for some of you younger guys.

The indie types will never compare to Victoria's Secret models but part of what makes them attractive is that they're real looking and, more importantly, they are generally talented musicians.
