In a weird way, although I love Give Up, I was kinda hoping they wouldn't make a second album...so they can't screw anything up. Does that make sense?
That's kind of what I was trying to get at. I really really wanted another Postal Service album just to see where it would go/how it'd sound, but at the same time I don't want a shitty Postal Service album. The first one is too enchanting to have the band name tarnished by a shitty second go.
I don't understand this at all. First, if they made a great album the first time, what makes you expect a shitty album the second time around? And even if you are apprehensive about the second one, who cares? If they make a shitty second album, they still have a good first album, who gives a damn about their credibility being "tarnished"?
