I think this is my favourite album at the moment. Brilliant lo-fi stuff. I wasn't a fan of the band till now. I'm familiar only with "The Great Destroyer" which is not bad, but no way near as good as this one.
i didnt notice the release of their new album, so the news are great.i m glad they are back."The Great Destroyer" was a beautiful album that i still hear so i m looking forward to hear their new one.
Hey don't get me wrong it's good, but Things We Lost in the Fire good, or The Curtain Hits the Cast good, or Secret Name good, or Songs for a Dead Pilot good?! Not exactly. Man Dinosaur Act is just the greatest. And Drugs from Trust, even though it's not that great, gets me every time.
I need your help because this is starting to drive me insane. Could somebody listen to the last song, Violent Past, and try to hum the intro to Free Bird along side. Tell me it doesn't match up a little too perfectly.
I bought this album and I'm thoroughly enjoying it(I haven't heard any of their other stuff), but I can't help but start humming Free Bird whenever the last song comes on.

Yeah, it definitely mirrors Freebird's chord changes perfectly, even the tempo is almost the same.
I'm liking this album a lot more than The Great Destroyer. I like the increased use of electronics and noise on some tracks. Other than that small innovation it is a pretty standard Low release, which is to say, it is a great album.
man, I'm really loving this album. It's really the only album I've heard this year that's jumped out as definite top five material for me. Those of you who are Low fans, do you have any recommendations on past albums?

I would recommend Trust, Secret Name, and Things We Lost In The Fire. All three of those are among my favorite Low albums, and Drums and Guns will probably end up on that list as well. Good stuff.

You know what? It was streaming at this website when it came out but I checked and it isn't there anymore. You can probably find some songs at The Hype Machine though.
----- If you don't love me, I'm sorry.
