I have endless love in my cold, black heart for this band! So good. Hate is definitely my favorite, but The Great Eastern and Peloton are excellent as well. Universal Audio has some great songs too. I just love the epic, dark songs from Hate more than anything else they do. "Woke From Dreaming" has got to be my favorite song of theirs.
Emma Pollock has such a great voice. Her solo album was pretty good, but I really wish she'd go back to the kind of orchestral, dark stuff she was doing with the Delgados around the time of Hate.
Also, is Alun Woodward gonna keep making music? I feel like his songwriting improved a lot over the course of each Delgados albums, with maybe his best songs occurring on Universal Audio. I know he did a simple but good track for that Ballads of the Books compilation, but that's all he's done since 2004 as far as I know. Like I said, it's too bad, because the dude was just reaching the apex of his songwriting career.

I was thinking the same thing this morning when Universal Audio came on through winamp. Maybe one day he might release something *shrugs* in the meantime I'll continue enjoying Emma Pollocks sparkling career.I so need her to release a live DVD before long, maybe after her next album. *dreams*. Oh yeah saw Delgados on their last tour, easierly one of the best concerts I've been to.
Would you like lies with that?
