OK, now it's just out of hand. There was nothing wrong with this thread until about four hours ago, and then these no-talent ass clowns started quoting Office Space.
Oh shit, I didn't even catch that one. Oh well, I'm still going to start referring to you as kill_joy

You shouldn't have admitted it, because I thought you were just playing along Yeah, the "ass clown" comment is when Bolton is complaining about his name to Samir. You know the whole "why should I change? He's the one who sucks." This is pretty funny because I've managed to get, what, four posts in this thread and none of it has pertained to Person Pitch. I haven't even heard it yet, actually.

Well Person Pitch is a tough listen for me but I just can't get into it. Already listened to it like seven times. Oh well...They've moved my desk four times already this year, and I used to be over by the window, and I could see the squirrels, and they were married.

"but then, they switched from the Swingline to the Boston stapler, but I kept my Swingline stapler because it didn't bind up as much, and I kept the staples for the Swingline stapler and it's not okay because if they take my stapler then I'll set the building on fire... That proves it. Some of the buried parts of Person Pitch are chants of Office Space dialogue.

For those Metacritic posters bummed out by their inability to "get" Person Pitch, I've got a little good news about tomorrow... "Friday is Hawaiian shirt day. So, you know, if you want to, go ahead and wear a Hawaiian shirt and jeans."

quote: So I was listening to "Person Pitch" today, and I realized, ever since I started listening to this, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life.

For all the people wanting to like the album but don't, hey cheer up. You will probably come around in time. In fact, I know what your problem is: I think you might be jumping...to conclusions.
Ya see, there is a certain type of mat with record reviews on it ("great" "essential" "dull" "sophomore slump")and you kinda just, ya know... jump to them.
And hey, if you still don't like Person Pitch, you could always try to commit suicide, fail, and then get hit by a truck.

Okay fine!! I guess I can deal with not everyone being head-over-heels in love with this (though I will never understand why), but can we at least agree that it's got the best album cover in YEARS?! The expression on the seal's face makes me chuckle.

"Bros" is far and away the best track on the album. Unfortunately, you could cut it in half and it would still be too long.

I think Good Girl/Carrots is the best track on the album. And you don't listen to much ambient do you? I'm assuming a "no" because there is a rare characteristic of ambient music missing from most bands (and therefore the people who listen to them) and that would be: patience. I wouldn't classify Panda Bear as anything really close to ambient but "Bros" has a repetitive "devil-in-the-details" hypnotism going for it that I really enjoy.

Not sure if you're talking to me or not, but you're right. I don't listen to much ambient music. The closest I get are M83 and Explosions in the Sky. I'm a Godspeed fan, but I'm not so sure I'd consider them ambient. I'm on board with Hophead on "Bros". I think it's got a fantastic groove to it, but you could probably cut it down to seven minutes and have the same effect.
