Ok, so after posting a post in the rap section I got to thinking, with the definition of "indie" being divided between the sound school, and the label/economic backing school. Now, DOOM's new album born like this has just been released, its really good. Its on Lex Record Label, which also has released neon neon and subtle. So by the label side it's indie, knowing that "rap" albums (or hip-hop, whatever) have been on top ten lists before makes me want to know if indie rap is appropriate for this sub forum, or if there is an agreement that it should be in the rap section, which i beliecve will take away its role in the "indie" scene.

Don't get too caught up in that line of thinking.

"Indie" is just another word for independent.

DOOM is still hip-hop.
